How to prepare for competitive/entrance exams?

 

1] Check how much syllabus you already have for preparation.

 

I) If you have time.

First collect the remaining syllabus. While collecting the remaining syllabus do not waste unnecessary time. Collect the syllabus, which you can complete in time before the exam.

 

II) If you don’t have time.

Start the preparation for your exam. First complete the syllabus you already have. After completing that specific portion of syllabus then search for the remaining syllabus and complete it.

Note: Most of the people/students waste their time in search of complete syllabus. As all of we know that, everyone does not complete whole syllabus so don’t waste your time in search of complete syllabus first complete which you already have.

 

2] Collect Question Papers and analysis them.

 

After collecting the previous year’s question papers do the following steps for analysis.

I) Differentiate the questions according to topic.

It will help you to understand question pattern in exam, which will help you to solve questions quickly.

II) Check this thing, “On which topic they ask questions every year?”.

First try to complete these topics which contains repeated topics.

 

3] Make a time table.

 

Only making time table does not affect your preparation you have to follow it. Time table should be in proper manner. It should contain following topics:

I) Give time according to the topic.

Complete all the topic one by one in time.

 

II) Do daily practice of questions.

Questions should be from “previous years question papers” as well as from “question papers for practice”.

III) Give time for revision

For better result, you have to revise all the topics which you had completed. Revision should be in following manner.

  • Weekly revision

  • Monthly revision

  • Last revision before exam

That means every topic you have to revise three times.

Tips for preparation:


1) Create your own short notes.

2) Always use a book in which you can write key words, important lines, formulae etc.

3) While studying distribute topic in different parts. Complete one by one part.

4) Do not take a break until the completion of whole part. If part of topic is too big then take break
     according to your convenience.

5) select the best place for study, where no will disturb you.

From the above we can conclude that, we divide our syllabus according to topic. Then we divide our topic in small parts. It is easy to complete your study in small parts because while dealing with whole syllabus it gives us problem.
